1. Tell me about your horse and yard
Make a no-obligation enquiry using the contact form, WhatsApp or email. Include your location, how many horses you would like clipped and your preferred dates so I can discuss the options with you.
I work in the Antwerp region, including for single horses. For several horses at one yard, appointments further afield can be arranged. View the prices or request a bespoke quote for your professional yard.
2. Discuss the clipping style
There are many options. We will discuss your preferences for the clip, head, legs and finishing details. Please also tell me how your horse reacts to clipping and whether previous sessions were difficult.
If your horse is nervous about clipping, we will discuss what is needed to work calmly and safely. Where sedation needs to be considered, your vet should be involved in that assessment.
3. Prepare for the appointment
On the agreed day, have your horse ready with a clean, completely dry coat. Provide enough light, space and a nearby electrical outlet. Keep brushes and cleaning equipment within reach and have someone available to help if needed.
For the detailed checklist, read preparing your horse for clipping. If washing beforehand is not possible, let me know in advance so we can discuss the options.
4. Clipping at your yard
I visit your yard and clip your horse in the agreed style, with care for the horse and attention to detail. Clipping takes approximately one hour. The coat, style and your horse’s behaviour can affect the time needed.
Discussing your horse and preferences beforehand helps me give a more accurate estimate. For several horses, we will plan the time needed together.
5. The finishing details
From clipping to the final details, I work towards a tidy result that reflects what we agreed. See examples in the horse clipping portfolio.
Choose a suitable period
October through February is busy. Check the availability calendar and book ahead. An available week is not a confirmed appointment; we will agree on the details together.
